Saijo in Hiroshima is one of the three most famous Sake brewery place in Japan
as well as Nada in Hyogo and Fushimi in Kyoto prefecture.
Located in east of Hiroshima city , takes about half an hour by JR train from Hiroshima station.

広島県西条市は兵庫県の灘、京都の伏見と並ぶ日本三大酒処です。
広島市の東に位置し、広島駅からJRで約３０分です

Saijo Sake Festival is annually event held in the second Saturday and Sunday in October,
and last year attracted more than 250,000 people for 2 days!
You can wander around brewery and of course sample Sake,
to sample the 900 kinds of sake from all over the country on offer

西条酒祭りは毎年10月の第二土日に開かれており、2015年には２日間で約２５万人が
訪れた大きなイベントです。
酒蔵巡りをしたり試飲もできます。
日本各地から様々な酒が集められその数は1000種類もあります




Kamotsuru is one of the major brewery in Saijo.
賀茂鶴は西条を代表する酒蔵の一つです。



Beside sampling sake, you can buy special goods related sake, like apron specially made for people working in brewery,
and also sweets such as sake cake or sake chocolate.
酒蔵内では試飲の他に酒蔵グッズも購入出来ます。酒屋さん用のエプロンや、
酒を使ったケーキやチョコレートもあります

The whole town is filled with people enjoy drinking sake

Best dish you can have at the festival is the local specialty called "Bishu nabe" ,means hot pot cooking of beautiful Sake!
酒祭りで是非召し上がって頂きたいのが名物の”美酒鍋”



Ingredients are chicken, pork, vegetables and Sake only.
A bit of salt and garlic is added for flavor. Its so delicious!!
You have to make a reservation in advance!
材料は鶏肉、豚肉、お野菜そしてお酒のみ。味付けに塩とニンニクを加えます。
